1. Use free AdwareMedic to remove adware

Install , open, and run it by clicking “Scan for Adware” button to remove adware.

Once done, quit AdwareMedic.

2. Safari > Preferences > Extensions

Turn those off and relaunch Safari.

Turn those on one by one and test.

3. Safari > Preferences > Search > Search Engine :

Select your preferred search engine.

Do not download any utility that promises to remove "junk" or "unwanted" files! Any utility making such a promise is a scam. If you are running out of space on your hard drive, you will need to delete some of the files that you have downloaded or created, not parts of the system.

As for the "websites" comment, I'm not sure I understand what that means or how that relates to deleting unwanted files. You'll need to be more specific.
