Repositioning split keyboard
How do I reposition my split keyboard to where I want it so it is not covering what I am typing?

You can press and hold the keyboard key bottom right of the keyboard and drag it to a new position (if you press and hold the key too long without moving it you will get a popup with 'merge' and 'dock' options to unsplit and move the keyboard back to the bottom of the screen).
Thanks. But then it docks and merges. I want it split and remain split at the bottom. It keeps merging.
You can turn this off in Settings>General>Keyboard>Split Keyboard>Off, if you don't want the keyboard to split again, or if you don't use it that way.
EDIT - I was still typing when you posted again.
You have to very carefully and slowly drag the keyboard down to the point where it doesn't dock and merge. I have never found an easy way to do it, but I never use the split keyboard. I have only used it experimentally.
Another great tip about which I had no clue! Nice!! đ
Aloha Demo. Thanks but I think you might have known and forgotten. Remember a fairly new member FALcatkin about a year ago ? It was his find. Unfortunately I don't think he's participating after getting off to a good start.
Stay well. Bob.
I just want to thank you for your detailed explanation of what to do. It worked. Thanks again.
Thanks for responding and trying to help. From all this conversation everything has helped.
You're welcome, but you have Bob to thank for giving you the correct suggestion. The sad thing is that I was in the discussion that Bob referenced and not only do I not remember being in the discussion, but obviously I didn't remember how to dock the split keyboard. đ I'd like to blame it on having another senior moment, but .....
You're welcome. Always glad to help.
You're a god to me. Thank you so so much. You made my iPad experience so much better and I cant thank you enough for that
great tip! Just getting the hang of that timing is a bit rough but it works perfectly!
You're welcome. Always glad to help.
