I have completed all updates on iPhoto, but whatever task I request on iPhoto it is so slow and I get spinning globe every time.
I tried creating a new slideshow - spinning globe.
I selected the music - spinning globe.
This is a new Mac book pro, completely up-to-date. I went to the apple store yesterday was told to repair library - have done this and also rebuild and repair - no change.

Thank you for your reply I have 822.32 gb free space. I used the restore and rebuild by clicking on iPhotos with alt & cmd
but I am getting that spinning globe when I try to use I tunes with i photo. It all seems very slow.
Think will go into Apple Store.
I'm not very computer literate.
As a general troubleshooting procedure boot into the Recovery volume (boot with the Command + R keys held down), select Disk Utility and repair both the disk and disk permissions. Reboot normally.
