iphone not recognized by Windows 7

difficulties caused by out of date software. If this is your problem go to control panel / programs (unstall a program) find "apple application support", "apple mobile device support". right click -> change ->repair. This will update the drivers needed. If they are not there go to apple support and install. goto control panel / hardware and sound/ devices and printers check for apple mobile device usb driver and apple iphone in unspecified. check "service" apple mobile device is started. To see a list of service -> windows explorer -> computer -. right click -> manage -> services and application -> services look for apple mobile device in the list right click -> properties -> check for startup type automatic service status started. This makes the thing work!
