calenders not syncing from mbp to iP6

calenders not syncing from mbp to iP6 but works well in the other sense. spent hours on the phone on several occasions to apple support n no luck to resolve it. really busy with work n no time to spend hours on the phone to repeat basic set-up routines.

Both apparati using same account details. I can establish a new event on my iP6 and it appears within seconds on my mbp. I can modify or cancel this event on my mbp and it modifies/cancels on my phone immediately. all events set up on my mbp stay only on the mbp and do not appear on the ip6.

I work a lot outside the office and this is a real pain! any help appreciated
