Wifi Problems

Hello there. I am using a macbook air mid 2011 13" model. Just today, I took out the wireless card and other pieces to give them a dust off. However, I put all of the pieces back correctly and the range of my wifi has decreased dramatically. I can connect to my network but I have to be in the room that has the router in order to access the internet. This only started happening after I took apart the laptop. Before, I could be fairly far away and still get a signal (a couple hundred feet more or less). Any ideas on the problem??
