OS X Yosemite 10.10, ATV3 updated. Unable to use Airplay!!!

Please help!!!

So everything is updated, i have restarted both ATV3 and Macbook pro but no luck. Played around with bluetooth settings and left them off for now, am definitely on the same network. I can get onto my iTunes, i can not though, for the life of me figure out how to get my airplay working again!!! I had it working when i first bought it and now ever since updates apple did, I've not been able to get it working. Ive also checked my firewall but all settings are correct. There must be someone who can fix this!!
