Cannot turn my 4th gen on. Battery problems?

I cannot turn my iPod Touch 4th generation on. It doesn't react when I press anything. I think it has something to do with the battery, because this has happened before, where I just shook the device when it finally turned itself on. I have sometimes dropped it on the floor. Maybe it has something to do with the battery? What can I do?

Try:

- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on

- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.

- Try another cable

- Try on another computer

- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order. Maybe battery or something else
