I don't have an app that took all of your songs. This is a user-to-user technical support site.

iTunes 7 was quite a bit of time ago.

Did you create the itune app? I am not blaming you (deggie)- yes this may be a user to user site - however you may also notice we are on a discussion site on Apple.com and Apple employed people also monitor this site. so- please unless you have a solution or are employed by Apple, please keep your comments to yourself, as you can see by your above comment - there is no technical advise at all, and at least iTunes 7 hasn't or didn't break my ipod....

No, other than hosts that monitor for inappropriate posts and specialists that answer posts that go unanswered for 24 hours with links to the knowledge base there is no one here from Apple.

iTunes 7 was released in 2006. Are you saying you have been using that version every since and you have never used any interim version? Or are you saying you updated from Windows 7 to Windows 8 and iTunes 12 and this happened? Are the songs still in your iTunes Library on your computer?

hi Deggie- thank you - i had version 7 on an older laptop, never linked to store, no i never updated (but i always checked that ipod had up to date updates) as worked ok on the itune versions, got a new laptop in december, downloaded itunes again with new version.. now on windows 8.... i transfered all my tunes from my external drive to itune, so apart from new albums linked in everything else was the same, when I loaded the ipod I was asked to restore, so just in case I went back on to my old laptop which linked no problems and then back to new laptop just thinking it wanted to refresh, so restored (ipod had up to date software) but now keeps crashing on new itunes after restoring so far then giving me error code 1439, which is now driving me insane. I have followed the support page stage by stage, although the itunes i am using was older version the ipod is just over a year old. i'm at a lose as to what to do now? 😕.

PS sorry if i offended before 😊
