Is the new Intel DUAL CORE i7 processor an improvement on the quad in the new 13" MacBook Pro - or a size thing?
I have a 1st gen Intel Quad core i7 in my 13" late 2011 model. But model age means I have started to miss out, I discovered today;
I can't Airdrop with my 5th gen iPod touch without a cable...(so I eMailed it)
I only just scraped in with the Dual Display.

I couldn't find a score for the 2015 macbook pro yet, not many people have submitted this processor, sorry.
I don't use AirDrop, so it's not a critical feature, as I prefer Dropbox to move files and photos between devices as needed.
Thanks for correcting me,I had blindly assumed the i7 was quad. It intrigued me but the actual processor info for my laptop is hard to find or well buried.
EveryMac has a full catalog of every mac... ever, so you can always get the specs there. It's what I did to see the difference in processors from the two models you had listed.

I now have access to the info that I wanted for my upgrade desires(had my eyes opened), going to wait for the next 15" MacBook Pro with 5th gen "Quad" i7, thanks again....😉
