Photos and messages disappeared?

I have a 32GB iPhone 5s, had around 10,000 photos (a bit much, yes). Wanted to take a look at some of my photos today but all seem to have randomly disappeared/automatically deleted. My text messages have all gone too but that's less of a worry. However, my photos keep 'restoring' to a certain point (i.e. 1/4 of them will restore) then they will become stuck and after a while, they delete and start the process all over again. My phone also turns off and on automatically and this seems to either help the process of restoring photos or stop it completely. Any way I can get all photos back? Also, wasn't too sure what community to post too so apologies if it's completely wrong.
