What is the difference between iCloud and iTunes Match

Hello. I already know what iTunes Match is, but I don't understand it's difference compared to iCloud. For example, if I bought a new device, I would sign in with my Apple ID and get all my music for FREE from iCloud. How is iTunes Match any different?

Devices:

iPhone 5s iOS 8.2,

iPad Air iOS 8.2,

MacBook Air 2015, OS X Yosemite 10.10.2.

You get only the music bought from the iTunes Store, not all of your music, unless you have iTunes Match.

And iTunes is very bad at mail, contacts, calendars, data storage, photo library organization etc, in fact it's not much good at anything except music, movies, podcasts etc.
