Internet Recovery on MacBook Air. Hard Drive completely dissapeared.

Urgent help and advise needed. I was doing an internet recovery on my MacBook Air and when I tried to reinstall Mountain Lion my hard drive had completely disappeared. Now it just says 'Virtual Whole Disk' instead and when I try to reinstall Mountain Lion there is no disk to select. Does anyone know how to fix this?
