I am trying to restore my apple tv through my laptop but i cannot the device to connect. Once a plug it in using a micro usb, the light begins to flash rapidly.

make sure you're following the steps exactly (unplug all cables, connect micro USB, if using a 3rd gen reconnect power). Connect directly to computer. Try a different cable
