Q: Should I upgrade to OS X Yosemite?

Hello, everyone I was wondering if I should upgrade my Mac to OS X Yosemite.

My Mac is running OS X Mavericks 10.9.5, and it already has good features including phone calling, SMS text messaging, iCloud Drive-like folder and more. But I really need to know if I should upgrade due to the new application incapabilities of Mavericks. Please tell me if I should, thank you!

You got the best advice when you asked this same question last month:

    Upgrade to OS X Yosemite?

If you install it on a partition or external drive, you can test it without using your regular system and can simply ignore or delete if you don't care for it.

Okay, I'll see on that. Sorry, but I like to research more before I upgrade.

That's what makes me so mad! This so called 'new feature' "phone calling/SMS text messaging for Mac" has been here for years. Have you ever heard of Skype, and Viber apps. Those are phone calling and SMS text messaging apps aren't they? Apple is being very crazy on this!

One option is to create a new partition (~30- 50 GB), install the new OS, and ‘test drive’ it. If you like/don’t like it it, you can then remove the partition. Do a backup before you do anything. By doing this, if you don’t like it you won’t have to go though the revert process.

Send Apple feedback. They won't answer, but at least will know there is a problem. If enough people send feedback, it may get the problem solved sooner.
