AppleTV doesn't read updated iTunes library

As it states above: AppleTV doesn't read my updated iTunes library with new movies and tv shows. I've done restarts and resets on my AppleTV, and have the latest OS installed. I'm at a loss at what to do at this point, so any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
