Iphone 5 - Apple store says I have an aftermarket display. I DONT !

I would be glad if someone helps me out on this.

I have a contract free IPhone5. Have had it for 4 years and never had a problem with it until a week back when it's display cracked. Took it to an apple store to get it replaced and they said that I have a 3rd party display so they can't fix it. WHAT !?

I bought the phone from an Apple store and have never had to do any repairs or service on it. So the it cannot in anyway have a 3rd party display or any other part on it. I talked to them about the same and they just said sorry we cant do anything about it.

Would be glad if Apple has a solution for this.

We do not have the power to interfere in a problem you have with Apple Store managers or with Apple policies.

This is a user to user technical forum.

Note: iPhone 5 was released in September 2012 so you cannot already has it for 4 years.

Since Apple do not sell parts they have tools to see whether your screen was replaced.

Anyway, we user here cannot help you on this.

There was a similar issue with a User in the UK posted at length on this forum .

It did after several months turn out that the screen had not been replaced ,rather it was OEM but a brand the Apple Store in UK was not familiar with
