Is there a way to add a known WAP before being physically close to it in iOS?

Hello.

Is there a way to enter wireless connection's data to iOS v8.2's wifi list, on iPads and iPhones, in advance before being near the physical WAP? I have the wireless SSIDs and passwords. I tried to add one/1 manually, but iOS asked for encryption setting.

AFAIK for us domestic users until the iGadget has talked to the hotspot/ap, iOS doesn't provide a way to input whatever it wants to grant access. There are tools for central management of corporate device pools that do permit such kind of reconfiguration, though. See here for more info.
