How do you back up your iPhone 6 to iCloud without it turned on?

Just wondering if there is different ways to back up your iPhone without it being turned on?

iPhone 6, iOS 8.2

If its not switched on, then you can't.

Otherwise, connect your phone to iTunes on your computer and back up the phone to the computer.

Thank you sir! I been looking around for the last 3 hours on the internet. The reason I ask because my phone might be damaged! My charging cord is burnt and my phone screen went black. Will it still back up to my computer with it being damaged?
