I've downloaded some mp3 files and I don't know how to transfer them into my iTunes library.
iMac, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.5)
Drag them into the "Automatically Add to iTunes" folder, which is found inside your iTunes Media folder.
Assuming that the files are compatible and that iTunes is running, they will immediately be moved to the normal iTunes Album/Artist location, and be added to your library.
