Does iPhone compatible Bluetooth headset controls works with Mac?

I'm looking for a bluetooth headset to use with both Mac and iPhone, before I made the purchase I would like to know if those iPod controls (volume/play pause) buttons will work with Mac!

I've been using wired one and getting very used to controlling music with the control button on both my Mac and iPhone
