I have recently bought the macbook pro, the second model after the one in 2010 and it doesn't have iPhoto on it. I have loads of photos that i want to move across from my previous macbook and was wondering what to do?

On the bottom of the MBP is the serial number. Enter it hare and post back the model and year information:

You can restore the OSX: restart mac while holding the CMD+R keys, choose install OSX (takes some time because downloads the OSX) and then iPhoto will be there.
No iPhoto on new macbook pro
