Can I take the titles effect Horizontal Blur and add it to my png logo?

Hello everyone,

I really like the horizontal blur effect (well at the moment I do). Can I add that effect to my logo?

I have tried copy/paste attributes & effects, but the effect does not show up. I've looked on line for suggestions

but nothing refers to copy/pasting text fx only video fx etc.

Any thoughts, comments or suggestions will be appreciated.

hmm, works like charm here:

with logo on secondary, with logo 'solo'…

How do you do it?

mmm not sure what your saying....I want my logo to blur in and out....like the horizontal blur.

You need to use the Directional Blur effect and animate the blur values from something like a 1000.
