I have dell with windows vista(6) and IE 9

Hello! Can I benefit from having latest Safari browser loaded into my laptop-GIVEN MY SYSTEM ?:) I have IE 9 and Google Chrome. I used to use IE exclusively,but MS doesn't support as much as before. I still use IE for email, but everything else Google Chrome almost all the time. Can I benefit from Safari? I have read Safari 5.1.7 is latest for windows vista. Is that so? Thank you very much for your advice!:) Also will Apple give me discount to "encourage" me to switch?:) HAHAHA!
