Songs downloaded from Icloud very distorted

I uploaded an album from a cd to Icloud using match from my Imac desktop but when I downloaded this album to my laptop from Icloud it is severely distorted

MacBook Pro (15-inch Mid 2009), OS X Yosemite (10.10.2)
