Hover over any of the new "Stars" and you get the URL of the thread + " # " (see bottom left of image) = it indeed performs for me exactly as your describe = Nothing

My hope is that this might be a placeholder for a way to get a 'PermaLink' to that message

This just confuses me as it is there on every message by the author's UserName

Well, since there are no points awarded and absolutely every post shows a star, which is confusing at best, the feature appears to be pointless.

I agree - I was careful in my wording not to appear to be speculating when I said (new emphasis)

i.e., unimplemented, "wireframe" to use the Developer parlance = the place and the thing that will do some action or hold some content

confusing part is the code seems to talk about "Like" - yet everyone's got one - besides, IMHO it does not fit with the Graphic Design of the page AT ALL!

Last comment as we have hijacked enough of this thread - we haven;t heard the last of this issue, methinks
