I am not receiving ask to buy notifications

My kids are setup with their own Apple IDs and included in my family setup. My wife is also in this setup as a parent/guardian. When the kids request to buy something, I almost never (can't say never though) receive any notices or alerts that they have requested to buy something. Is there a way to look for submitted requests? I have not found any.
