Problem with high frequencies

I have a mix that I'm happy with however some of the vocals are problematical when the singer pronounces the letter "S". (e.g; the vocal splats out if played too high)

Is there a simple way to even out this type of problem?

There are many good de-esser plugins. Logic has one in the dynamics folder.
