My phone and text messages have stopped working properly on my iphone 6, any ideas?

I cant ring out and when I go into messages it take ages to load up and just shows a new message screen, I cancel that then it brings up saved messages. I select it and it takes forever to open then doesnt show passed messages until i send another one which also takes ages to send.
