I woke up & my ipod touch didn't respond!

I have an ipod touch 5th gen. The home button doesn't work since months ago, but suddenly I woke up & wanted to check what time it was but the ipod didn't turn on. I had charged the before sleeping!! I tried rebooting it by charging it but it didn't charge, and it doesn't respond to power button or the reset hole. Is there any way to bring it back to life.....? I don't wanna buy another one T^T

Try:

- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on

- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.

- Try another cable

- Try on another computer

- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.
