How to make google my default search engine?

So I accidentally made yahoo my search engine but when I first click on safari google is my homepage but when I go to the search bar at the top of the page its the yahoo search engine and Ive tried going to safari settings or preferences but it doesn't say default search engine anywhere.

MacBook Air, OS X Yosemite (10.10.1)

Your default search engine and your homepage are not the same things. That's not making Google your search engine, that's making Google your homepage.
