Panning issue

Thanks in advance for any help anyone can provide.

I jsut purchased Logic Pro X and had been using Logic 9 before. I am literally working through my first ever session with Pro X and am having a panning issue. I am simply recording guitar and vocals at the same time, and doubling the track so that I can pan guitar hard left/right and throw vocals up the middle. For some reason in Pro X when I solo any track and pan hard right nothing comes out of the right speaker. It is the craziest thing. If none of the tracks are solo'd the session plays in stereo.

I have gone through all of the normal troubleshooting. Changed speaker cables, checked physical outputs on my interface, opened a session in Logic 9... everything is fine. What gives? It's so frustrating and it big time messed up my session, as I'm sure you can understand.
