vision difficulty and zooming iphone 5

up until a couple days ago i could zoom in with two fingers on google search results. suddenly i seem unable to do it anymore. i dont know what changed. also, sometimes i like 3 finger tapping to get a full-screen zoom but even though i have that option selected it keeps changing back to the small window zoom. any ideas?
