What are you referring to when you say "earpiece"? Assuming you don't mean the headphones, the entire phone will have to be replaced if anything beyond the display is damaged.
well my iPhone 6 plus thinks that headphones are inserted but they are not , so am assuming that the earpiece is damaged
No the headphone jack may not be damaged. Get a flashlight and look inside the jack and clean any dust/lint/debris/insects you find in it and try again. You may need to plug your headphone jack in and out several times to clear it.
Yep, there's a tiny switch in the jack that tells the device when the earphones are plugged in. Looks like it got stuck. Besides the contaminants Deggie mentions, have you gotten juice or candy in the jack?
