I have guests coming to use a particular form on my computer and I would like them to use a template so that the form always stays the same, but I would like them to be able to get the template straight off the desktop so they don't have to go searching for it.
Is this possible?

you can also locate the template in one of the folders below:
start in your user folder, then use the Finder menu item "Go > Go To Folder…"
~/Library/Application Support/iWork/Numbers/
Locate the template then make an alias and move it to your desktop.
when the guest double clicks the alias, they will be presented with a dialog:
They should click the button "New Spreadsheet"
If the guests don't want to use File > New > Template Chooser (quite easy to do) you could make available to them a script that opens a new Numbers document using a specified template. Details here.

Is it possible to have a shortcut to a numbers template on the desktop?
