safari bookmarks fxn infinitely wide even with pref thrown out from user library. user specific

Mac Air 2012 Yosemite 10.2.2

Since updating to Yosemite Safari, Bookmarks function spreads infinitely wide so unable to use to bookmark. Can close only by esc. This occurred even after throwing out all preferences from user library. Its user specific. When using test user it doesn't happen.

Apple replaced logic board and graphics card and tried to remedy with other maneuvers to no avail. Everyone stumped by this.
