I just upgraded Adobe and now am receiving plug-in failure messages. Can't watch anything!! Help!

I'm receiving plug-in failure messages and am having trouble watching any videos on my Macbook Air. I recently upgraded Adobe Flash Player. I looked up this problem an it looks like the same thing happened about a year ago. Can anyone help me with this?
