My computer won't open my Bluetooth File Exchange

Hi,

I have a Macbook Air 13" running on OS X Yosemite Version 10.10.2. I have connected my laptop's bluetooth to some of my friends laptops, but when I try to send files and open the bluetooth file exchange it just bounces up and down. When I click hold on it, it tells me that it is not responding and gives me the option to force quit

My laptop has 250GB of storage. I am not very good at writing questions. Thanks
