On screen keyboard keeps randomly popping on Ipad Air 2

When using an external bluetooth keyboard. The on screen keyboard will pop up and then go away as if the keyboard disconnected and reconnected. It interferes a lot when scrolling through a PDF or interacting with note-taking applications.

Tried forgetting the bluetooth device ( keyboard of course) and restarting the iPad and continue to have the same symptoms. Even replaced the keyboard and tested on other mobile devices without having the same issues.

Try a general reset. Settings->General->Reset->Reset all Settings. You will need to log back into any wifi networks but won't lose any data.

If that doesn't work then your last step would be to Restore the iPad as a new device which should, in theory, remove any software issues that may be causing your problem.

if you're still experiencing the same issue after trying the above steps, then it's probably time to make an appointment at a Genius Bar & let the experts see if they can find a solution.
