iTunes Error 53?

HI everyone, my Touch ID on my 6+ randomly stopped working when it had been fine. So I tried to do a restore via iTunes and got the above error message about halfway through the restore. It seems stuck in recovery mode. Has anyone had any similar issues or solutions? Or would a trip to the Apple Store just be best at this point? Thanks!
