Can I get sound when filming video on Mini iPad?

When I am shooting video with my mini iPad, can I get sound and if so how?

Yes, you can get sound when shooting video with your iPad mini. Take a look at the section "Take photos and videos" section of the iPad Users Guide. See page 85 in the following link:

I looked at that portion of the manual and it talks about using the volume controls to start/stop video on page 86 but I don't see how to get sound while recording. Unless I am missing something? I recorded my grandson dancing and would have liked to get the music he was dancing to.

Hey Nitekitty,

There isn't anything special that you need to do to get sound when recording a video. It is possible there is something wrong with your microphone. You can test this with this article:

If your voice is too faint or sounds unclear using iPhone, or iPod touch - Apple Support
