Only editing photos on apperture

Hello Folks..

I have a Macbook with very limited storage...i am new to aperture, what i have seen if images or librararies are delated also they are in trash and i am unable to delete completely from trash. I have huge collection of photos.

So i just want to edit photos which are on my HDD and keep it on external HDD. i do not want to keep in library and occupying space on my macbook.

so plz folks elaborate little about library management

If you empty the Aperture trash then the images go to the System Trash. Empty that to remove material from the disk.


You can have libraries on an external disk formatted Mac OS Extended (Journaled)


You can have multiple libraries and move data between them.


Using Aperture only to edit makes no sense.
