No one knows - not even the person who gave you the replacement iPhone. Apple
warranty states your replacement may be new or refurbished at their discretion. If
you were within the return period for your location/seller, you had the option to return
the iPhone and then purchase a different one. Once that period is over, there is no
way to know. You are not turning in a new iPhone, so why would you expect to get a
new one in return? Warranty will be the longer of 90 days or the remainder of the warranty
on the original iPhone.
