reminders disappear after upgrade

i ugraded recently to Yosemite V10.10.2 not a clean install but downloaded and upgraded. I have lost my reminders and need to get them back. I have no backup of these, however they must have not been brought over during the upgrade, surely this should be a default thing??

Please help, if anyone has experienced the same thing.
