my iphone 5 won't power up. it is charged. however i forced a restart because it was stuck in the messaging app. every few minutes, the light comes on and the apple logo shows briefly, but it quickly goes dark again.

same thing tonight. apple logo and occasional flash of blue screen. tried reset to no avail. now it wants to be charged but won't accept a charge. unable to speak to apple support.....
power button and home together tried didn't help.
power button and vol + for several minutes didn't help.
plugged into mac and not recognised as phone so cannot restore.
