early 2013 Macbook pro retina GPU diode overheating?

Hello, I am under the impression lately that the GPU (diode) of my macbook pro early 2013 GPU diode tends to heat up a lot lately running 70°C or hotter even under very light work load. I am running Yosemite 10.10.2. Does anyone else have similar issues. The end result is that the screen simply turns off, even if the laptop still seems to be alive.

I read about GPU issues with 2013 macbook retinas and an Apple program addressing this. How do I find out if the program applies to mine?
