I already have garageband, but I have to pay for the 10.0.3 version, why?

I already have garageband installed on my mac, but for the 10.0.3 version, I have to pay. My mac is currently running on OS X Yosemite.

Thanks for the question. If I understand correctly, you are currently running Yosemite but are running an older version of GarageBand. What version are you running? I would recommend that you read this article, it may be able to help the issue.
