Imac4 will not start

Question

Imac4 will not start

My IMAC4 will not restart please can you suggest some options to try...

I have tried unplugging, power button for 5 sec , re plug in and power button but nothing!!

Penny,

There is no such thing as an iMac4, please click the Apple symbol in the upper left of the display and select About this Mac, then post back which iMac you have, the version of OS X installed and how much RAM it has. Once we have some basics we can attempt to help you. Until then please click:

iMac 4,x series of iMacs date from around 2003. If you actually have one of these older PowerMac iMacs, then you have gotten a lot of good years of service out of it.

However, will suggest one step to take:

Disconnect the iMac from all devices, then try starting your iMac up.

Let us know if you have any response from the iMac, noise, beeps, screen lighting up, anything!
