Deleting emails on exchange

I can't seem to delete emails from my exchange account on my iPhone. I tried researching some possible solutions and i got the same answer which was going into settings and selecting your email acct. and going into advanced settings and changing mailbox behavior but the thing is there is NO mailbox behavior options under my exchange acct. HELP please?
