I have a similar issue to others in that I cannot update Garage Band in the App Store to version 10.0.3
It is not showing in the purchases tab.

Are you signed into the AppStore with the same Apple ID you used when you bought GarageBand 10? And are you in the same country you were, when you bought GaregBand? The region of your Mac needs to be set to the same country.

Same Apple Id, same country - I don't remember ever buying Garage Band as such - it just came as part of the package...!

Did you buy your Mac from apevious owner? If someone else set up your Mac, garageBand may be associated with a different AppleID. Then you can only update it by signing in with the appleID of the person who set up your Mac for you.
Has perhaps your credit card expired? Check your settings at the AppStore, i.e. your payment method, if you need to update the expiration date of the credit card.
No. I am the only owner. All my other iLife applications are fine - its just this one.
Credit card fine as I buy things from the store.

Yes, contact the AppStore Support. Use the Quick Links pane at the right border of the AppStore window.
